India admits to losing fighter jet for the first time
The Indian Army Chief said that Pakistan has claimed to have shot down six Indian fighter jets, three of which were Rafales. Their claim is “completely wrong.”
However, the Indian Army Chief did not say anything specific about how many fighter jets were shot down.
When asked about the Pakistani claim of shooting down the fighter jet, General Chauhan said, “Why the Indian aircraft was shot down, what was wrong—that is what is important.” He said, “Numbers are not important.”
The Indian Army Chief readjusted their strategy after the losses on the first day. General Chauhan said, “We understood the strategic mistakes and corrected them, and after two days, we conducted another operation and successfully hit the target deep inside Pakistan.”
Anil Chauhan added, “We penetrated Pakistan’s air defense system and hit the specific target.”
The Indian Army Chief made this comment in an interview.
